It’s not Brown, it’s not Blonde – it’s Bronde.
The latest hair trend loved by celebs and us mere human alike is the perfect shade to try out this summer.
Recently I decided it was time for a change with my hair and thought there’s be no better colour to try out, especially after seeing the Loreal advert pop up every time I turned the TV on…
My natural hair is a dark brown shade and when I got to the shops, the shade catering for my colour had already sold out. I decided to be spontaneous and go for another brand. Although I hadn’t used a home dye kit in a very long time, I had some idea of what I was looking for…
After about 30 minutes of browsing the shelves of hair colourants, I came across Jermone Russell’s B Blonde Highlighting Kit. They had a variety of shades for different hair colours, from dark brown to light blonde. I did a quick internet search on my phone there and then to check out the product reviews to make sure that I wasn’t going to end up with orange tiger stripes and all seemed good to go.
The product was really easy to apply, with a cap provided to pull though strands of hair. I prefer this type of hair styling as you can control how much hair you want to colour and can build it up as you wish. I left the colour on for about 25 minutes, but as always, everyone’s hair is different so make sure that you read the instructions and advice provided in the leaflet.
I was so happy with the finished colour – it wasn’t too light and blended in perfectly with my nautral colour. For around £6.50 you really cannot go wrong, especially with a salon-finished look. You’ll find them in both Boots and Superdrug, as well as other drug stores.
It’s been three weeks since I first applied the colour and it is still very much there. I am debating whether to take the next step and go a shade lighter but I don’t think I’m brave enough yet.
If anyone is on a budget or is unsure whether the ‘bronde’ look is for them – I would definitely recommend this product.
