Release the Animals: 2013 I’m a Celebrity Line-up Revealed

It’s back! Ant and Dec return to ITV this Sunday with the thirteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

It’s back! Ant and Dec return to ITV this Sunday with the thirteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. Another batch of pampered celebrities will be leaving their beautiful homes, loved ones and luxuries behind to face the snakes, rats and all manner of creepy crawlies hidden in the Australian jungle.

Last year crowned Eastenders star Charlie Brooks the queen of the jungle but which celeb will win come out victorious in 2013? Who will yell “I’m a celebrity…get me out of here’ quicker than Helen Flanagan? And who will not be afraid to bare all in the jungle shower?

Kettle gives you the run-down on the celebrites facing the jungle terrors this year:

Rebecca Adlington, I'm A Celebrity 2013
Olympic swimmer, Rebecca Adlington

Rebecca Adlington is no stranger to pressure after competing in numerous Olympics, including winning two gold medals in the 400m and 800m Beijing Olympics plus two bronze in last year’s London games. Her sporting achievements put her in good stead to handle herself during the Bush Tucker Trials but this may stop people voting for her to take part, preferring to watch celebrities fail and return to the camp with not many, if any, meal stars.

With the nation still buzzing with pride over last year’s Olympic games, we think she stands a good chance of walking away with the jungle crown.

Steve Davis, I'm A Celebrity 2013Former Snooker World Champion, Steve Davis

The six time former Snooker World Champion, Steve Davis is no stranger to victory but will the creepy crawlies get the better of him? Speaking about his reasons for entering into jungle life he says: “Like many viewers, I would like to know, faced with a plate of animal innards or a cockroach filled space helmet, whether I could handle it.” Davis hopes to shirk the opinion that he’s “boring” by becoming the camp joker and won’t be shy to share a few lessons on playing the game.

Will the former snooker player be able to win over the viewers with his jokes and emerge from the jungle top of the pack? We’re not too sure but will enjoy watching him try.

TV Actress, Lucy Pargeter
Age: 36

The popular TV actress, who plays Chas Dingle in ITV soap Emmerdale admits that accepting her place in the jungle was a ‘spur of the moment’ decision and has been asking herself ‘why’ ever since. She describes herself as a good listener who will provide a shoulder to cry on for the other campmates. “I am quite good if someone is feeling down,” Lucy says. “Hopefully I can spur them on and encourage people to do stuff.”

With soap stars known to reach it far in the jungle, will we be crowning another soap star?

Kian Egan, I'm A Celebrity 2013
Boyband member, Kian Egan
Age: 33

As a former member of the chart-topping band, Westlife, Kian Egan is used to travelling around the world but admits the hardest thing about taking part in I’m a Celebrity is being seperated from his son. No stranger to danger, Kian admits to being a bit of a thrill-seeker regularly going surfing, bungee jumping, parachute jumping, mountaineering and hiking.

Adored by millions of ladies, both young and old, his popularity stands him a good chance of emerging as ‘King Kian’.

David Emanuel, I'm A Celebrity 2013
Royal Fashion designer, David Emanuel
Age: 60

The designer, most famous for creating Princess Diana’s wedding dress, successfully battled prostate cancer last year and sees the jungle as just another challenge. One small problem though, he admits to being scared of everything from heights to claustophobia to anything creepy and crawly.

We hope he manages to not run away scared or squeal at the sight of anything with two legs like former Royal butler, Paul Burrell. A dead cert for the Bush Tucker Trials.

Laila Morse, I'm A Celebrity 2013
TV Actress, Laila Morse
Age: 68

The ex-Eastender has no qualms about going without food as she’s hoping to shed a few pounds on the jungle diet. She isn’t letting the fact she’s one of the oldest campmates hold her back saying: “We were all glamorous and slim once. You get older, you put on a few pounds and you get a few wrinkles. I am healthy and I am strong. That is important.”

We predict Laila will take on the role of mum in the camp, will it help lengthen her stay?

Alfonso Ribeiro, I'm A Celebrity 2013
American Sitcom star, Alfonso Ribeiro
Age: 42

Better known as Carlton, the right hand man to Will Smith’s Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the American star let slip that he has only seen a couple of shows. Barely knowing how the programme works let alone what challenges he’s set to face in the jungle may work in his favour as he admits that ignorance is bliss.

As long as he bust out the Carlton dance, we’re happy with whatever he does.

Amy Willerton, I'm A Celebrity 2013
Miss Universe and Model, Amy Willerton
Age: 21

The jungle wouldn’t be complete without a glamourous edition and that comes in form of Miss Universe’s Amy Willerton. She promises to teach the campers how to strut their stuff on the catwalk and has packed plenty of bikinis to parade around the camp in. She also doesn’t spurn any romance saying: “If I meet someone in the jungle who is right, then who knows what will happen…!”

Will she be stealing the heart of fellow singleton and Essex favourite, Mr Essex? Who knows we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for campfire flirtations!

Matthew Wright, I'm A Celebrity 2013
TV Host, Matthew Wright
Age: 48

The gregarious and outspoken talk show host of Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff admits a lifelong fear of spiders and is scared he’ll have the worse reaction on the TV show if faced with the eight-legged creatures. He’s even tried to fight his phobia with therapy but been told by experts that there isn’t enough time to cure his fear.

We predict he’s going to be the next camp wuss. Bring on the Bush Tucker Trials!

Joey Essex, I'm A Celebrity 2013
Reality star, Joey Essex
Age: 23

Joey Essex is one of the nation’s most popular reality stars who is used to playing out his love life in front of the cameras and hopes there will be a ‘beautiful’ and single female contestant joining him…hmm Amy? Perhaps! He’s recently quite TOWIE, the show that brought him into the nation’s hearts, is he hoping to beat Mark Wright’s second place positioning?

He’s the most popular camper and bookies’ favourite to win, but the jungle is known to bring out celebrity’s worse sides…
