Review: Soap & Glory’s Kick Ass Concealer

I took a trip to Boots to pick up a new eyeliner pencil and left with enough makeup to last the year. I should never be left alone in the makeup section – my purse always takes a hit. During my little spree I came across the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer – Three Piece Camouflage Kit, which is available for £10. I think it was destiny, I was meant to find this precious gem. I have tried a variation of different brand concealers. Some of my previous favourites have been, Rimmel London Hide The Blemish Concealer and Maybelline Dream Touch Lumi Concealer but the Kick Ass tops them all. It works in three steps and comes with an eye brightening concealer, a face concealer and a translucent sealing powder, all contained with a small compact mirror..

Step One: Under Eye Brightening Concealer

The Under Eye Concealer is a pinky tone and I’ll admit, I was a little sceptical at first thinking that it was completely the wrong shade. However once applying the concealer, it covered those pesky dark circles and made me look a lot more awake, with brightened eyes. It blended nicely with my foundation and didn’t look blotchy. It also didn’t leave creases, which in the past I’ve found a lot of concealers have, especially under the eye.

Step Two: Superwear Face Concealer

The face concealer is a brown tone with the aim to cover any spots or blemished that you want to hide. Let’s face it, spots are not the most flattering things in the world so we like to hide them as much as possible. I always get spots on my chin and after using the face concealer you can barely see them. I wear a pale foundation, so I was worried that the concealer would look patchy. That was not the case. The face concealer blended perfectly.

Step Three: Concealer Sealing Powder

You could call this powder the cherry on the cake. It’s included to help make the concealer last throughout the day and means you don’t have to constantly keep re-applying concealer all day, which I love. The powder is soft to apply and it really does what it says.

I love that the whole concealer is so compact and will easily fit in your bag, so you can carry it while you do your day-to-day stuff. Plus it looks super cute and the name just says it all. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it.
